Welcome to My Cosmic Self. These Terms are the agreement between you and the operator of the app when you use it. Please read them, especially the disclaimer in section 4. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

The app is operated jointly by Lars Hoernle & Luca Sator, Affolternstrasse 81, 8050 Zurich, Switzerland ("we", "us"), currently two private individuals, with a company to be formed later. You can reach us at luca.lars.saho@gmail.com.

1. What My Cosmic Self is

My Cosmic Self is a consumer astrology web app. It calculates a personal birth (natal) chart from the birth details you enter, shows daily horoscopes and transits, lets you keep a private journal and track your mood and wellbeing, offers an AI "companion" you can chat with, and lets you explore astrological compatibility ("synastry") with people you choose to add.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 16 years old to use My Cosmic Self. By using it you confirm that you are 16 or older, that the information you give us is accurate, and that you will keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

If you enter another person's birth details for a compatibility reading, you confirm you are entitled to do so and have followed our Third-Party Data Notice.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for everything done through it. Tell us at luca.lars.saho@gmail.com if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.

4. Important disclaimer, please read

Astrology content on My Cosmic Self, including charts, horoscopes, transits, compatibility readings, journal prompts, and anything the AI companion says, is provided for entertainment and personal self-reflection only.

It is NOT:

• medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice;
• financial, investment, or legal advice;
• a diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

Do not rely on the app to make important decisions about your health, finances, relationships, career, legal situation, or safety. Always seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

If you are in crisis or you feel you may harm yourself or someone else, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline in your country immediately. The app is not designed for emergencies and cannot help in a crisis.

5. The AI companion

The companion is an artificial-intelligence chatbot, not a human and not a professional. Its responses are generated automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete, or simply wrong. Treat everything it says as entertainment and reflection, never as fact or professional advice. Do not share information you would not want processed to generate a reply (see our Privacy Policy for how chat data is handled).

6. No guaranteed outcomes

We do not promise that the app, its readings, or the companion will produce any particular result, insight, or benefit. Astrology is not a science and we make no claims about the accuracy or predictive value of any content. We provide the app "as is" and "as available", and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any decision you make based on the app's content.

To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the total fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or CHF 50 if you paid us nothing.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for intent or gross negligence).

8. Your obligations

When you use My Cosmic Self you agree to:

• be 16 or older and give accurate information;
• only enter another person's birth data if you are permitted to and have followed our Third-Party Data Notice;
• not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app;
• not use the app for anything unlawful.

9. Termination

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the service. If your account is deleted, your data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law and forum

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, and the exclusive place of jurisdiction for any dispute is Zurich, Switzerland.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live, which continue to apply where they cannot be overridden by agreement.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app develops or the law changes. When we make a material change we will update the version and date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms. We do not currently offer paid plans; we will update these Terms before introducing any payments.
